It has two terminals, it is international and one of the largest in the Caribbean archipelago. Its capacity today is more than 3 million tourists a year and is steadily increasing from year to year. SDQ is chosen by tourists who go on vacation to Boca Chica (only 12 km away) and Juan Dolio.
Las Americas is located 24 km from the center of the capital of the Republic - Santo Domingo. The easiest way to get to the city center is by taxi, it costs about 1000 pesos, but there are also regular buses. A bus transfer from the airport to the capital will take about 40 minutes and cost only 10 pesos.
The airport has long acquired a modern face, there are restaurants, free internet, banks, information center, shops, car rental offices. An excellent VIP lounge, rooms for families with young children make Las Americas an enjoyable stay.
For the Dominican Republic, of course, the most comfortable way to travel is by car. It can be obtained from international or local car rental companies; many of them have their own pick-up counters directly at the airport.
